We Poured the Bondbeam!

Wow! Things are progressing so quickly! The church now has it's last row in place and the roofing trusses will be placed during the next two days. Yesterday the kids pushed very hard to get the walls completed. Here are a few pictures of some very hard workers! Praising God for His care and guidance!

March 23 -Sabbath

We has a wonderful Sabbath day. We worshiped with the Punta Gorda Spanish and English churches combined. They had the school children from the Adventist school visiting with their parents. (Great because we had the opportunity to invite them to our "Children's Bible Workshop" personally.  We sang some rousing children's songs and then the Church service began. We enjoyed so very much the special music by the Leong family and Alijah and Mike. Jon gave the sermon with was translated in Spanish. His sermon was all about getting ready for heaven and was wonderful.

We walked back to our hotel from the church for lunch and then took a bus ride to Blue Creek to swim through a cave. We enjoyed the rest of the day there at the river and in the cave. Worship was by the riverside where we shared ways in which the Lord had already blessed us. The evening was a pleasant one with a visit to town for dinner and then some planning sessions.

Everyone is working hard and well together and we are so very blessed with this wonderful group of people. We were so happy when Rob and Zach joined us as well as Angelia and Stanley Hyde. Thank you for your continued prayers.

March 21 - First Work Day

We started out early this morning. The Dental/Medical team loaded the bus with all the gear and headed to the Mayan village of San Antonio. There they were able to treat those in need of a filling, extraction or cleaning as well as any ear, nose and throat issues. There was a rough start as we did not have proper suction equipment. But, the Lord blessed and provided all our needs and after two hours of repair and ingenuity things were up and running.

The block laying team went great. Every one worked very hard and by the end of the day they were working  together and the walls are rising.
The Bench building team cut and routed and sanded..they will be building 15 pews for the new church.

Everyone was blessed by serving today....Praising God for health and hearts to serve!

We will be leaving for Punta Gorda, Belize March 20. There are still those who are striving to earn enough money to go with us and trusting that God will provide a way. 

These kids recognize the value of service and are wanting to do so. We are also needing to raise $10.000 for materials to build a new Spanish Church in Punta Gorda.

Belize 2013

Once again we are headed to Punta Gorda, Belize. We have established many friendships with the people there and they anticipate our partnering with them to reach those who are in need in their community. It is such a blessing to be able to make a difference for the Kingdom. These lovely people  have requested that we return to help with several new projects. We have been called to help complete a church in Punta Gorda for the Spanish speaking congregation, present an evangelistic program utilizing music and preaching and a children's program for the community. We will also be bringing along a dental team to serve in the Mayan Villages. Please pray for the those who plan to serve as missionaries and for guidance and protection as we make our plans.
